Technology
PFA treats AFib with brief electrical pulses instead of heat or freezing. The goal is a precise lesion on the tissue causing the arrhythmia, with less risk to nearby structures such as the esophagus and blood vessels.
Dr. Boone also performs conventional ablation when that is the better tool — the technology follows the diagnosis, not the other way around.
Conditions

A fast, organized upper-chamber circuit. Typical flutter is often cured with ablation.
Sudden racing from above the ventricles. Frequently curable in one procedure.
A dangerous lower-chamber rhythm that needs prompt, specialist evaluation.
A heartbeat too slow for the body. Pacemakers, including leadless options.
Extra ventricular beats. Usually benign — a high burden can weaken the heart.
Some causes are harmless. Some are electrical. Monitoring settles the question.
